We are two avid dog-lovers that have so much fun with them on a daily basis, we realized we wanted to share their crazy doings with the world.
Steven and I met back in May 2008 through a mutual friend. We fell in love almost instantly and got married in November 2009.
When I first met Steven, he had an adorable Norwegian Elkhound puppy, Ratchet. But I soon saw the storm beneath the calm; Ratchet was completely out of control. Steven had tried every training method known to man, including constant exercise, obedience classes — unfortunately, nothing worked. He kept trying throughout the course of our dating, to no avail.
We knew that something had to give, and toyed around with the idea — as a last resort — of getting another dog so that Ratchet could have a playmate to exhaust his energy and stop using us as chew toys. Eventually, a series of events led to us finding our newest member of the family, an Australian Cattle Dog mutt that we fondly named Roo. She instantly showed Ratchet that he was a dog, not a human, and his behavior changed in leaps and bounds. I can’t imagine our lives without her, or our obtuse Ratchet for that matter.
Now we are a happy foursome. Sometimes it gets hectic here, with Roo nipping at Ratchet’s heels or Ratchet taunting Roo with a bone. But we take our jobs seriously as both parents, owners, and referees.
